No HYIP program will last forever. (Come to think of it, nothing in this world lasts forever, no?).
Every HYIP program has what I like to call as it's shelf life. Though there is no certain way to predict accurately the shelf life of any given HYIP, there are some tell tale signs showing whether that particular HYIP will last longer or will collapse in few minutes.
The best possible time to join a HYIP is probably within 2 days of its launching. This is when, a lot of "investors" put money in and very less request withdrawals. The admin will have the chance to build fund, pay for advertisements and work on promotions, which will eventually brings many more investors.
This is also time for the admin to build "trust" among his investors. So withdrawal requests will almost always be successful.
After this initial stage, the life expectancy of the HYIP program would depend entirely on the sincerity of the Admin. It might last long if the Admin really wants it and work for it. It will go ashtray the next minute when and if the Admin thinks he has had enough.
However, based on my little experience :
1. If the program offers high return in short period of time like 300% after one day, don't expect it to last more than three days.
2. Low minimum, such as $1 dollar probably means the Admin is trying to extract as many investors as possible in short period. This will also vanish in no time.
3. High referral bonus. I have mixed feelings about referral bonus. It can be seen as the Admin's way of promoting his program on low budget, sort of like pay per click. But if the referral is higher than 5%, I would be highly suspicious. See No2
4. If the Admin advertise heavily in HYIP monitor sites and HYIP forums, it might last longer. The Admin has invested in the program, so he might one to stick around until he make profit. Simple logic.
Assuming the Admin has no outside investment (As the case with most HYIP), The program will last as long as the money bought in by new investors are more than the withdrawal amount requested by old investors. So, as long as there are new investors (who brings in substantial amount of investment), you can rest half assured that you might get your investment back.
I said half assured because, you don't know what's going on in the Admin's head. You can only predict.
If you can follow one rule of HYIP, NEVER TO INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE, you can have fun playing this game and maybe make a few bucks of it.
