The end of IceGold?
Being an Estonian Company, ICEGOLD is affected by Estonia's New Anti Money-laundering Law which will take effect in the first half of January 2008. The new law, among others states that exchangers of alternative payment systems such as IceGold has to identify all customers face to face. Which needless to say, is an impossible task!
So they have already stopped allowing new transactions to be registered since December 14th for fear of wires arriving too late for them to complete the exchanges.
That's a shame since Icegold is one of the best exchanger, providing competetive exchang rates with excellent and fast service. Not that I need to deal with any exchangers for that matter. I have a few hundred bucks in my e-Gold to cater to my HYIP gambling addictions. I will not do any in or out exchange. The day my e-Gold reaches zero, I will be done with HYIP.
