I’ve been frequenting JohnChow.com for a while now. His blog is updated about three to four times daily and each time I visit the blog, I learn something new, especially on earning tips and tricks.
The other day, John Chow announced that he have decided to sell his 300 X 250 ad spot (where he place his Google Adsense ad) to any interested private advertiser for $1,000.00 per month. Turns out he managed to sell the ad spot within an hour of announcing it. Well, there is no surprise there considering the fact that JohnChow.com enjoys an average of 300,000 per month.
What caught my attention is the brilliant idea of the guy who purchased the spot - Ryan Stewart of eleven21.com.
He is flipping the ad space. The ad spot is linked to a sales page on eleven21.com where Ryan Stewart is offering the same spot for $1,500.00!! He also listed the offer on eBay.
The price is pro-rated, so it goes down by $50 every day until someone decided to buy. If somebody did purchase the ad spot in the next 10 days or so, not only will Ryan Stewart enjoy super easy profit but he gets free traffic to his website. And even if nobody actually buys the spot, the traffic that gets redirected to eleven21.com would worth more than the thousand bucks he paid for!
