E-Gold Phishing Expedition

They never give up, do they? I receive another e-Gold phishing e-mail.
From : e-gold <account@-e-gold.com>.
Looks authentic. Well, not quite. Check out the tiny dash (-) just after (@).
This email is to inform you, that we had to deactivate your e-gold account access because we have been notified that your account may have been compromised by outside parties.
Yeah, right
Our terms and conditions you agreed to state that your account must always be under your control or those you designate at all times. We have noticed some unusual activity related to your account that indicates that other parties may have access and or control of your information in your account.
I hope every person receiving this email could see the glaring grammatical mistakes in the above paragraph. At least that way they can understand what a thieving scammer these people are.
These parties have in the past been involved with money laundering, illegal drugs, terrorism and various Federal Title 18 violations.
Throw in the threat of money laundering and terrorism (I wonder why they did not add child porno and the good ol’ mail fraud), and you expect me to fall for your prey. Oh, you wish

Now, the bait
Account access will remain disabled until this issue will be solved. If you are the rightful holder of the account, please click on the link bellow and log in to your e-gold account.
https://www.e-gold.com/acct/login.html
If you hover your mouse over the login link, you will notice that the actual address of the site is

http://ww-e-gold.com/acct/login.html

You probably won’t notice the difference at a glance. Look carefully. The address is ww-e-gold.

So, there.

Scammers will not stop. Not for as long as there are gullible people in this world. What we can do is defend ourselves by taking precautionary steps like

1. NEVER Click any link from your e-mail. E-Gold and most other online payment gateways will NEVER ask you to login from your e-Mail. If they ask you to login from your e-Mail link, rest assured, it’s a phishing mail.

2. For E-Gold, use a unique e-Mail address for your e-Gold account. NEVER use that e-Mail address anywhere else. NEVER reveal that e-Mail address to anybody else. If they can’t find your e-Mail address, you won’t receive their phishing mail. It's that simple.

Then if you receive e-Gold phishing mail in your other e-mail addresses, you can just laugh at those idiots.

Looks like we are getting the exact same phishing emails this week, though mine was to an email that I don't use for e-gold.
